We first stayed in room 137- the couch had big stains on the seat, the couch also smelt of stale cigarette smoke. I did mention it to reception when we checked in again after hiking. We returned after hiking to room 612 & loved it. Had a wonderful 3 nights, staff were super helpful. But…3 stars because we had to move hotels due to an Indian company taking over the whole hotel. We moved to Queenstown Rydges for 2 nights. Also, very annoyed my credit card has a hold of NZD $150 (50/night) which is holding up spending cash. Very annoyed as we charged nothing to our room & see this as an added stress to having to move hotels. The Wakaputu grill for dinner is nice, the pasta very yum but steaks way over priced for what it is.

Basic room view surprisingly better than Wakatipu suite

Second time back to this hotel because of the stunning lake view and near the Queenstown airport. Booked a King Lake Wakatipu Suite originally, shocked that half of the view has been blocked in which it’s not the same we expected from the photo. Hotel said the photo was reference only and the room view is different on different floor, even on same type of suite. Appreciate if the hotel could make a remark on the suite in advance. Meanwhile, they do have a slow reply for my room change request as I’m not happy with the view, finally got the room change back to a normal room on higher floor. Appreciate the effort by the manager but appreciated if the reception could reply the guest faster and initiate the response, rather than letting a customer to follow up after an hour since the request has been made. It’s quite upsetting and tired as that day the luggage has been lost when going to Queenstown and the room change finally done at night. Having said that, the room was still fantastic. Spacious room, fabulous view and the breakfast and self paid dinner was really good at the grill bar restaurant. Would still back again and recommend this hotel for a luxury stay at Queenstown near the beautiful lake.

I come here regularly for business and am constantly blown away by their attention to detail and their ability to make you feel special. 10/10 The Hilton Queenstown. Another excellent stay at Hilton Queenstown. Location is beautiful, I booked a lakeview room which is right on the lake. Amazing scenery, quiet location. Love the amenities here, great restaurant, fun sports bar, and great pool and spa area. 5 min from the airport and there is a scheduled shuttle boat to downtown from the hotel. So much to like, very warm welcome from the staff. For sure will stay here again.

Amazing location with beautiful mountain views each morning! Comfy beds, great water pressure in the shower, beautiful big tub and a great staff! After long adventurous days, it was great to come back and hit the sauna/steam room and hot tub to relax the body.
